Been here 2 times. Pass through the area on my route between central lake MI and brockway. Had the buffalo dinner. Buffalo is a type of fish similar to a carp and both times it tasted very fresh and was cooked right. Fine southern food. I also had a slab of ribs last time in and for sides I tried the mac and cheese, collard greens, and the baked beans all really good especially the collard greens. You can tell they cook them with plenty of ham hock or some other kind of bone so they all full of flavor. I think next time in I wanna try the catfish steak and fried chicken wings. Try this place out

I'm working in flint and always smelled the bbq coming from this place. I got the catfish, Mac n cheese, Cole slaw, and corn bread. That catfish alone was okay, but once u put that hot sauce, that's when that thing hits hard. Cole slaw was good. The corn bread was bland and could be removed. Every bbq place I've been, and I'm from texas, the mac and cheese has been the biggest let down for me. In my eye I feel if your a BBQ joint, your Mac better be up to par. This place had good Mac and cheese. The person working was slammed and was getting frustrated, but I understand where he was coming from. The people who came in to order were from the community and it was refreshing to see this local business and the people supporting them.

I am working out of town yet again, and today I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat. I ended up googling soul food and big baby’s bbq popped up!! I decided to drive to the restaurant to place my order. The restaurant is pretty much a take out eatery only, which was fine I was getting it to go anyway. Inside you’re met with à large glass window where you can see a clean well lit kitchen looking straight ahead!! The young lady on the register that took my order was pleasant. I decided to get a rib tip dinner with macaroni cheese, collard greens. It comes with only 2 sides but wanted some yams too so I ordered an extra side. I also wanted to try the catfish so I got 1 fillet. For dessert I wanted sweet potato pie 1st choice 2nd choice peach cobbler but they were out of both, so I just got a slice of pound cake. This cost me about $35 which I thought was reasonably priced. I read a sign out front that read something to the effect of being human and mistakes are made occasionally so PLEASE check your order before leaving!! Did I do that,…..NOOOOO I did NOT!! So when I got to my hotel room my order was WRONG! I received a catfish dinner with collard greens and yams and another side of y

This is a staple of flint michigan. Many of y'all been passing this place by and missing out on some of the best rib tips you can find within twenty miles a Flint any direction... And I dare someone to challenge me to this! This is the number one spot that me and my lady go to forRib tips and I would vouch for ribs on the bone are fall off.... Tender, juicy, flavorful, and spiced just right. Coming from missouri, I know ribs and I know riha tips, and this is by far some of the best.I've ever had. I encourage everybody who reads this post to visit the big baby barbecue. Tell them, "Tiger" sent you!

The greens and catfish was excellent but the Mac n chz was horrible it was mashed macaroni and cheese there was no whole noodles as you can see in one pic the other pic you know they have decent Mac n chz because out of 7 orders that the only one with real Mac n chz cornbread was burnt. So I’m a lil upset that they messed up the Mac and cornbread and sold it anyway. Don’t dash from there because they’ll put the messed up sides in your box. Go there and get your food.
